Dodge durango intermittent starting problem.
2021 Durango RT TNG. I am having some issues with an extended crank on a brand new Durango. I had the dealer take a look, scan for codes, but nothing popped up. It is not all the time, but yesterday was the worst example. It cranked for about five seconds, pause very briefly, cranked for five seconds then started.

Starts instantly cold. Starts instantly hot. However, when sitting 5-6 hours, it will sometimes crank 3-4 seconds before firing. In one case, cranking actually stopped — and briefly displayed check engine light. But it then started fine.Crank n crank but no start 2017 3.6. So I've narrowed it down to the fuel pump is not priming when ignition is turned on. When I dropped the tank I decided to turn on ignition and the damn pump kicked on. I replaced the pump anyways since I was halfway into it. Ran and started good for a week n same issue returns.Dec 17, 2014 · Fairly often, I push the start button or remote start and the D turns over but doesn't actually start for several seconds. I've noticed this quite a few times since new and can't seem to find a similar reason. It doesn't really matter if it's hot or cold, the tank is full or a quarter, parked flat or on an incline, etc. No problem with the exhaust hitting the underbody. Tried remote start while under the car to no avail. Thought about the sub woofer and removed the 27 and 37 fuses which power the radio and sub woofer to no avail. No check engine light illuminated and no codes stored. I have been to 3 dealers with this problem and opened a case with Dodge.

Loosen the screw and unplug and clean off any dirt and debris, then put a coating of di-electric grease on the connections and plug it back in. Check all fuses associated as best I could, no blown fuses, not sure if the relays were all functioning. I disconnected the negative terminals on the battery, left to reset and reconnected, still nothing.
